Scenes for “Bird People,” an independent French film starring “The Good Wife” actor Josh Charles, were shot in Westchester this weekend at Heineken USA’s White Plains office.
The beer importer was transformed into an on-the-rise software development company for the movie, which is also being filmed in Paris. Producers say they chose the location because of the office’s recent renovations and the “All American view” from the space.
“Whenever a foreign entity comes here, they’re always looking to really get the most out of the fact that they were really here in America shooting and so it’s a view that they can’t double in France,” the film’s US producer, Darren Goldberg of Atlantic Pictures, explained.
In the movie — which also feature shots of 1-95 in New Rochelle — Josh Charles plays Gary Newman, a businessman who goes to Paris on business and leaves his life behind.
So, when will “Bird People” fly into theaters?
Producers hope to premiere the movie at a film festival next May. And if all goes well, the film might be coming to a theater near you.
