The Rockland rockers were eliminated from America’s Got Talent on Wednesday night after viewer votes were tallied.
The band performed Lady Gaga’s “Telephone” during the show’s quarterfinals on Tuesday, but let’s just the judges weren’t answering their call.
“The All Ways…you disappointed me a lot last night,” Howard Stern told them before their elimination. “I love your energy. I love your desire. But you were posing a lot on stage — a lot of dramatic moves. The song went haywire. Tough night for you.”
The band, whose members hail from New City, Pearl River, and Nanuet, seemed to handle the news well, but we can only imagine their disappointment.
““We’re going to try and kick as much butt as we can,” drummer Andrew Jevnik told us during an interview last week. “There are so many different acts but I think everyone has an equal chance,…The key to this is consistency. If you’re consistent and you’re staying true to yourself as an artist, then people will vote for you. We have to make sure that every song we do, we step it up each time and do something fresh that no one would expect, and take a couple of risks.”
Unfortunately, their song choice this week proved to be perhaps too risky.
But there’s All Ways a bright side. The band could come back if they are chosen during the competition’s Wild Card rounds.
