Sitting across from fellow Irvington resident Meredith Vieira, Emily Leonard won $25,000 today playing “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire.”
Leonard, a fitness studio manager, made it all the way up to the $100,000 question, which asked her to name the magazine that popularized the phrase “sex appeal.” She incorrectly answered Cosmopolitan, but still walked away with a pretty decent payday. (The correct answer is Variety.)
Before today’s appearance, Leonard had answered four questions and built up a bank of $17,100 before time ran out on Wednesday’s show.
She is engaged to her fiancé Mike Humphrey, who was in the audience during the show. Leonard said if she won big, she would expand her wedding, buy a house and “decorate the hell out of it!”
