Songwriter and former American Idol judge Kara DioGuardi is a new mom.
The New Rochelle native and her husband Mike McCuddy welcomed their first child, a son, on Thursday. They named him Greyson James Carroll McCuddy.
Greyson, whose grandfather is former Westchester congressman Joseph J. DioGuardi, was born via gestational surrogate and weighed 8 lbs., 10 oz. at birth.
