Musical icon Neil Young has been rocking in the free world this year – and he’s just added Port Chester’s Capitol Theatre to the list of places he’ll be visiting soon.
In what will likely be one of this area’s biggest shows, Neil Young & Crazy Horse will appear at the Cap with Patti Smith on Sept 2. Tickets, which cost $153 – $228, go on sale on noon Friday at the Cap’s Web site: thecapitoltheatre.com.
The legendary 67-year-old is clearly still going strong: He and garage band Crazy Horse are in the middle of a European tour, playing in England, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland and Italy, among other countries. He’ll also headline Farm Aid, the annual festival he co-founded with pal Willie Nelson to support American farmers, in Saratoga Springs on Sept. 21.
The show comes at the one-year anniversary for the 1,800-seat theater, which opened last fall with a show by Bob Dylan.
So if you could program Young’s play list for the upcoming show, which of his hits would you most want to hear? Tell us in the comments section below. Harvest Moon, anyone?
