Say you want a revolution? Sean “Diddy” Combs sure does – when it comes to music anyway.
In October, the Mount Vernon-raised hip-hop artist, actor, music producer and entrepreneur plans to launch a new music network called Revolt, in the hopes that it will be to millennials what MTV was to Generation X. (You know, before MTV went all “Jersey Shore” and “Teen Mom” on us.)
Last week, Diddy spoke to TV critics in Los Angeles about the network, saying that it would be a diverse channel, devoted to news, performances and videos by artists from a variety of genres.
We’re looking for greatness, we’re looking for great stars, we’re looking for people who have something to say. Our bar is extremely high; it’s highly curated. There are other places artists will be able to get exposure, but when you make it to Revolt you will feel you’ve been authorized.
When Revolt debuts in the fall, it will be available in at least 25 million homes.
