Irvington’s Meredith Vieira officially launched Lives, her new women-centric YouTube channel, on Monday with the premiere episode of the channel’s first original program “Overshare.”
The episode offers a glimpse of Meredith’s life, with the talk show host discussing love, career, and marriage while sitting at her favorite restaurant , The Red Hat in Irvington.
“I’m taking to you from you from one of my favorite haunts in my neighborhood. It’s the Red Hat. It’s a wonderful restaurant and it’s right along the Hudson River,” she says at the start of the video. “That river has been a place where I have come to reflect at so many stages of my life about where I am and what I want…Sometimes I’ve walked the river crying and many times I’ve walked the river with friends, deep into conversation. So, it’s right that I should have this conversation with you, in this particular place.”
The former “Who Wants to Be a Millionaire” host also takes viewers inside her Irvington home, where she brings out the family photos, sits at her dining room table with rollers in her hair, and washes dishes as she looks back at her life on and off television.
