Performing This Weekend: Corey Holcomb
Best Known For: He’s been on the comedy scene since 1992, performing on countless stages from “Showtime at the Apollo” to “The Tonight Show With Jay Leno.” He’s an actor too. You might have seen him in “Like Mike,” Tyler Perry’s “House of Pain” and more. And that’s his voice you hear as Robert Tubbs on Fox’s “The Cleveland Show.”

Q: What are some of the topics you enjoy talking about these days?
A: Fatherless women and who to wear a comdom with.
Q: Is there anything off limits in your act?
A: No politics.
Q: Where’s the most interesting place you’ve ever… performed comedy?
A: Performed at a church. The pastor booked me to show the women in his congregation how bad the dating game can be.
Q: Who are some of the stand-up comedians who inspired you to pursue a career in comedy?
A: Richard Pryor and Rodney Dangerfield. Two guys who can make all audiences laugh.
Q: If you hadn’t decided to become a comedian, what do you think you might be doing for a living?
A: if I wasn’t doing comedy I would be preaching at church to avoid taxes.
Q: What are three things your fans would be surprised to learn about you offstage?
A: I like to march in front of Planned Parenthood to meet sexually active women is what people don’t know.
Q: Anything coming up that you want us to know about?
A: Two movies coming up: “Think Like A Man 2” and “The Wedding Ringers.”
