A lot goes into filming a few scenes for a TV show. Just ask the guys at Roadside Bar and Grill in Monsey.
CBS’s hit show ‘Person of Interest’ set up shop at the Rockland bar on Oct. 31. The production crew arrived on Wednesday to transform the place into a Colorado watering hole, complete with a mountain view. The actors arrived Thursday and filmed their scenes from morning to night. Then the crew returned Friday to undo any changes they made to the bar.
The Roadside Bar and Grill will host a viewing party when the finished product, the show’s last new episode of the year, airs Tuesday night at 10 p.m. on CBS. They’re planning happy-hour drink prices starting at 8 p.m. Hors d’oeuvres will also be served.
Patrons can watch as Roadside bartender Andy McHale makes his television debut—he served drinks to Reese and Fusco, the characters played by Jim Caviezel and Kevin Chapman.
“I didn’t have any lines and I was in it for like 30 seconds,” McHale tells us. Still, the bartender gained a new respect for television production. “It’s amazing what they do,” he says.
Want to join the viewing party on Tuesday? The Roadside Bar and Grill is located at 375 Route 59, Monsey. Their phone number is 845-357-0461.
