The home Sean “Diddy” Combs purchased for Mount Vernon’s Misa Hylton Brim — she’s the mother of his 20-year-old son Justin Combs — is reportedly in danger of foreclosure.
TMZ reports that the rapper/media mogul purchased the 3-bedroom, 3,215 sq. ft. house for his fashion stylist ex in 2003. But the bank is threatening to put the home up for auction, stating they stopped receiving payments on the $712,000 mortgage in 2010.
Diddy and Misa, who met when they were both growing up in Mount Vernon, have publicly maintained a friendly relationship while coparenting Justin, an Iona Prep grad who attends UCLA on a football scholarship. Despite taking Diddy to court to increase her child support payments in the past, Misa has always claimed that she doesn’t live off of her son’s famous father.
“By the time I was 25 years old, I can honestly say that I’d made a million dollars from fashion styling outside of my relationship with Sean,” she told HoneyMag.com. “A lot of people think because I have a baby by Sean Combs, that I’m just sitting back and doing nothing, but that wasn’t the case at all. I was a guest on national talk shows. I had been featured in major magazines, and had worked with icons in the industry. And all with no publicist. I’m very proud of my success. To be clear, Sean introduced me to many of my celebrity clients, and I’ll always honor that. But everything I have comes from God and that’s my provider.”
