Vanessa Williams is ready to rock “After Midnight.” The singer/actress and Chappaqua resident will join the hit Broadway musical from April 2 through May 11.
In case you haven’t heard the buzz, “After Midnight” celebrates Duke Ellington’s years at the Cotton Club nightclub and the music of Harlem’s Golden Age. It features dozens of vocalists and dancers, plus the The Jazz at Lincoln Center All-Stars. As the show’s special guest singer, Vanessa will sing four songs, including “Stormy Weather” and “I’ve Got the World on a String.”
Vanessa will replace R&B icons Toni Braxton and Babyface, who will join the show in March through April. KD Lang is the musical’s current celebrity guest performer.
