Hold the elevator! New City native Skylar Astin is headed back to TBS’s “Ground Floor.”
The cable comedy, which ranked as one of TBS’s top original sitcoms in its first season, has been officially renewed for season 2. The show’s cast, including Skylar, Briga Heelan and John C. McGinley, will return for more corporate America laughs.
“Ground Floor” is about an investment banker (played by Skylar), who falls for a maintenance worker in his office building. At the end of the first season, Brody had to choose between an assignment to his company’s Hong Kong office or a Paris vacation with his ground floor love. Brody chose Jennifer, which means he could he lose his job in season two.
Sklyar, a Clarkstown North grad whose breakthrough role was in the movie musical “Pitch Perfect,” is excited about the show’s return. He shared the Deadline.com announcement on Twitter — though he did have one complaint about the article. Here’s Skylar’s hilarious tweet:
