Irvington’s Meredith Vieira had hosting duties at the Books for a Better Life Awards in Manhattan on Monday night.
The event, honoring the best self-improvement books of 2013, raised funds for the Southern New York Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. Vieira, whose husband Richard Cohen wrote a book about his own struggle with MS, was just one of the famous faces at the event. Rye’s Lee Woodruff, a best-selling author and past finalist herself, handed out awards in categories such as psychology, motivational and parenting. “A night I look forward to each year and honored to be a part of,” the CBS contributor tweeted before the event.
Presenters also included Huffington Post founder Arianna Huffington and New York Times Book Review editor Pamela Paul. Click here for more on the awards.
