One of the movie’s latest stops? A private home located in Rye. Rye happens to be the hometown of the film’s star and director Jason Bateman.
And here’s another twist for local celeb watchers: that Rye filming location we mentioned is the home of writer and TV journalist Lee Woodruff, who tweeted the news herself on Wednesday.
“Fun to watch the movie crew setting up my house for indie movie shoot of book ‘Family Fang,'” she wrote. “They wrapped and protected every little thing!”
The scenes filmed at the Woodruff home involved Nicole Kidman, who plays a woman who joins her brother to search for their world-famous parents after they disappear. The residence was transformed into “Nicole Kidman’s house after a bender & one night stand,” Lee tweeted. The CBS News contributor shared a photo of her untidy kitchen with the caption “fun watching them “mess it up.'”
Lee seemed to enjoy the experience, even sharing a photo of Jason posing with one of her daughters. “Nice and cute,” the wife of journalist Bob Woodruff wrote.
The ‘Family Fang’ continued to make stops in the local area this week. They reportedly shot in Pearl River on Thursday and there’s buzz that the cast and crew are in Blauvelt today. We’ll keep you posted.
