Broadway star Will Swenson says he is still moved to tears whenever he watches his Tony-winning wife Audra McDonald perform.
“She blows my mind,” the Croton-on-Hudson resident said in an interview with NBC. “I live my life next to her. We go about our daily routines, and we take our kids to school and we eat dinner. And I’ll go months at a time without seeing her perform. And then schedules will work out and I’ll be able to go see her in a show or go see one of her concerts. And I’ll just sob because I’m reminded of the power of this woman I’m married to. She’s just a force of nature unlike anything I’ve ever seen. She’s amazing.”
But Swenson isn’t the only proud spouse in their Westchester household. McDonald is also a big fan her husband, who will return to his role as Javert in “Les Misérables” on Oct. 9. See: Proud wife Audra McDonald shows support for hubby Will Swenson on the opening night of Les Miz
