After shooting in Westchester last year, Meryl Streep’s ‘Ricki and the Flash” is ready to hit theaters.
The first trailer for the film, about an aging rock star trying to reconnect with her adult daughter, was released online Thursday.
If you think you spot a local business in the clip, you might be correct. Film legend Jonathan Demme, a Nyack-area resident, directed scenes at DiCicco’s Market in Harrison, Numi Hair Salon in Rye, Barney McNab’s Bar in Yonkers, Patisserie Salzburg in Rye and many other Westchester locations.
Croton-on-Hudson’s Audra McDonald stars in the film as the new wife of Streep’s character’s ex-husband, played by Kevin Kline. ‘Ricki and the Flash’ also stars actor/musician Rick Springfield and Streep’s real-life daughter Mamie Gummer.
