If a grown man wearing the best Deadpool costume ever came trick-or-treating at your door on Halloween, it might have been Westchester resident Ryan Reynolds.
Dressed in the elaborate costume he wore while playing Marvel anti-hero Deadpool in the upcoming film, the actor, who lives in Bedford, posed with young trick-or-treaters dressed up as X-Men.
“Remember, tonight we set our clocks back 34 years. #happyhalloween,” Reynolds, 39, joked on Instagram.
Reynolds’ wife Blake Lively also got in on the fun.
“The beauty of Halloween– You never know who’s under the mask,” she wrote, sharing the same photo on her Instagram page. “[Ryan Reynolds] killin it in the most elaborate #Deadpool Halloween costume ever. #squadgoals.”
Reynolds recently told Marie Claire magazine that he insisted on taking the Deadpool suit home when the movie, due in theaters next year, finished production in May. “I loved wearing it and I have run away with one,” he said. “I’ll probably get into trouble for saying that, but I’ve waited 10 years to do this movie so I’m leaving with a (expletive) suit.”
