While Emily Blunt’s new project is set to film in White Plains, a movie starring another award-winning British actress is shooting scenes in Mount Vernon.
“The Book of Henry,” starring Naomi Watts, is expected to be on location in the city until 6 p.m. Wednesday. Exact filming locations have not been disclosed, but a notice from the movie’s production company reveals “several pieces of equipment integral to the production” will utilize several portions of street parking on Stevens Ave., Prospect Ave., Park Ave., Elm Ave., and North 3rd Ave. Campers and production vehicles will be also be parked in the Prospect Ave. parking lot.
In “The Book of Henry,” Watts will play a single mother of two sons, including a child prodigy who writes a book that exposes the happenings in the house next door.
The movie’s original screenplay is written by bestselling novelist Gregg Hurwitz. It will be directed by “Jurassic World” director Colin Trevorrow.
